Sketch Blog Hop September 18 Day 2

Hi! Welcome to the Sketch blog hop!

The purpose of this hop is to show how all of these talented bloggers can take the same sketch and come up with totally different cards. If you've never used a card sketch before, give it a try! If you didn't hop along with us yesterday, be sure to check out the cards from Saturday. So sit back and be inspired!  You're at the last stop in the hop, so if you just started, please go back to the start at www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com

So here's the sketch:

Here's my card:

This was a super simple card - I used this image http://melonheadzillustrating.blogspot.com/2011/03/hero.html
which was pre - colored, and I used some star buttons I had, and used some ribbon and my oval punches from Stampin Up.  A simple card, but I like it.  I will be making some cards for co-workers to sign & send to http://operationwritehome.org/ as hero mail, and I think I may make a few more of these.

If you're new to this blog, be sure to become a follower. Crafts for a Cause is a new blog &facebook page that helps crafters find a place to do crafts for a good cause - whether it be donating some embellishments to help make scrapbooks for the families of hospice patients, or cards to cheer someone facing cancer treatment, there are a lot of opportunities, so be sure to follow so you can help out!

So here's the blog candy - since this is a 2 day hop, I will select a winner on Wednesday, and will do the days in order (starting from day 1)You must be a follower to win..

1) A free copy of the Crafty Card Gallery iPhone app.  I will email you a free code for the iPhone version of the app.

Welcome to Crafts For A Cause!

Welcome to Crafts For A Cause!
Nicolette & I teamed up to create this blog & Facebook page so you can find places to make crafts for good causes.

Mission - to provide a single place where crafters can go to easily find opportunities to use their crafts for a good cause, and provide those needing those crafts a single place to post them. This blog will help connect the two groups.

Goals -1) to find opportunities for crafters to do good either by donating items or creating crafts 2) to make doing good easier for everyone 3) provide those needing or wanting donations of cards or other crafts a uniform place to advertise their need.

Reason we started this? Because you see a lot of people post requests for cards, but unless you actively follow all of those people, you never know there was a request. Also, some people have a lot of followers, so their requests will get a lot of response, and others won't get as much of a response. This will help get it out to more people.

We're just starting out but will be posting opportunities as they come up.  If you'd like to contact us, please comment.
Thanks!
Jennifer & Nicolette
